Monday in Maine

Monday morning was another perfect morning and I was on the road shortly after 6am heading towards Saco, Maine. I was on my way to visit with a couple of gals I had not seen since 1983 in Southern California. It was a fantastic day of riding, although I did manage to get temporarily displaced a couple of times along the way. That is the risk us old school bikers using a Rand McNally that is neatly packed away when I come to a busy intersection and must make a last minute decision on which was to turn. But on a day like yesterday, it wasn't a curse, but rather a blessing that allowed me extra miles on twisty Maine backroads.

Got back to Tilton mid afternoon and spent some crappy time at a laundromat, listening to some white trash woman bitching about her boss to me, like I really could care. But I thought she might kick my ass if I expressed my lack of interest, so I tried to give the appearance of attention and caring until she departed.

Had a last dinner with Teresa, came back to the Inn and hung out on the balcony watching bikes go by. Alot of bikes up here even though it's not bike week. Alot of them look like they are ok to go to the bar and that's about it, but, hey, whatever trips your trigger.

Packing up this morning and heading to Vermont. Looks like I have some inclement weather ahead. Hopefully it won't be a constant.

Peace.
