A highly Disappointing Display at the Packard Museum

This year's motorcycle show at the Packard Museum in Warren was actually quite a disappointment. Previous years have featured far more extensive motorcycle displays which have drawn the crowds. And that was before the expansion of the museum, which was impressive by itself. But despite the expansion, we were rather disappointed in the 2012 annual motorcycle show at the Packard Museum in Warren, OH this year.

Right inside the new building you will find one of Clark Gable's scooters, a sweet Knucklehead that bears photos of him on the bike next to it. Very impressive display, but one of few.

There were a few displays of old HD's and we weren't necessarily looking for just Harleys or even just American made bikes. We were looking for a large collection of bikes, and that, I guess is what the disappointing part was, the quantity or lack there of of the quantity of bikes in the show. I mean, these bikes are donated for display and some people just don't want their bikes sitting there for six months ... And there are only so many bikes available in the tri-state area for these kind of shows.

But all things considered, a small show is better than a no-show and I will still take any show at the Packard Museum in the winter in NE Ohio any and every winter. Life ain't perfect here, but it is still life and we still gotta' live it. And whatever gets us by in this hell hole is a blessing. So thanks to the folks at the Packard Museum for whatever you can bring us that sheds some light on our dismal lives here in the winter.
