Steel Steeds Campground

Here are some photos of where we stayed in Pennsylvania. The campground is located in the little town of Milton...actually south of town about ten minutes, right on the banks of a river. The river was very shallow. It is so shallow, in fact, that you could walk all the way across without your head going under water. On July 4th I was about 40 feet out in the river, sitting on the river bottom with my knees up out of the water, watching the fire works in Northumberland, south of Milton. We rented this trailer to stay in, but the campground also has tent cabins furnished with beds, a light and a fan and what they call "primitives", just standard tents with blow up matresses in them. With the temperatures in the mid to high 90's the entire stay, we were glad we had a trailer with air conditioning.

The first night at the campground, we found ourselves up at the fire pit at the front gate with Bob and other campers, enjoying the company and getting to know our temporary neighbors. Bob builds one heck of a fire, even when the evening temperatures drop down to the eighties! He picks up all kinds of wood scrap, if it will burn, Bob will take it for the fire pit. That evening he had a dismantled entertainment center he was burning. The second night were some dismantled children's headboards.

And to close out this post, please enjoy these photos of Buffalo, Friday night and Saturday morning...guess which is which!!
